Me and my bargain shopping addiction are going to get the best of me. Once again while on my study break last week I somehow ended up in the J Crew website looking at their skirts which had an additional 50% off. Now I have heard wonders about their skirts, but I had never tried one on or bought one. I was skeptical about the sizing because my measurements did not fit my usual size, but I went and compared the size chart to the WHBM size chart and it was the same SO I took the plunge and bought it in my normal size 4.
I was very nervous about receiving it but it was so beautiful that I convinced myself it would fit and I would love it. Just to have a plan B, I researched how much they were selling for on ebay just in case it did not fit me. Let’s get to what we came for.
Well first, I was looking for a skirt that was comfortable, cute, and that could serve me for rotations as well as going out. I really wanted to take advantage of the sale so I was choosing between 2 and I went with the cobalt blue one (similar here) because I liked it more and it was more affordable. The same style is not available anymore but I have listed similar style, and it seems J Crew is always coming out with similar style of skirt, so if you are interested, search for Tie Waist skirts on their site.
Well I finally received it and it was even more beautiful in person, it fit me, and the fabric is AMAZING quality. I still am in awe that I got it for $30! I immediately started to think about ways to style it and where/how to wear it and now I can’t wait to put it on. Sadly, for this week I will be in the nursery so I will be happily wearing scrubs all week. Once I start clinic on March 6th I will be back on the outfit train.
I decided to style it with this Calvin Klein Blouse and my BCBGeneration Treasure Pumps in Pumice Buffalo. These style is sold out everywhere except Amazon where you can also get them in neutral color and other patterns. These heels are amazingly comfortable. Just like my Darron Pumps, I wore these without breaking them in on New Years. They did not destroy my toes, they were very comfortable to walk in, and did not hurt after having them on all night.
Have you tried J Crew skirts? What are your thoughts on them?
