It’s been a while since I have posted about makeup. Back in December after watching Casey Holmes rave about the Flower Beauty Lip Duos I decided to take a plunge and try them out. For just $1o these duos promise to be everything you need to complete any look. Truth is finding Flower Beauty back in the island is impossible. Also, shipping to PR can be expensive sometimes at these sites. I decided to place an order while I was still in CT to try these lip duos and some other things out. PS. Flower beauty is now available at ULTA which is amazing because they do ship to PR without problem!
“Featuring a full coverage creamy matte lipstick and a matching pearlized gloss, our Lip Duo lets you create infinite lip looks. Go sexy with our high shine gloss. Go bold with our vivid matte lipstick. Or create something new…lip artistry has never been so easy!”
I ordered 2 shades: Bronze Envy and Red Velvet. Packaging is pretty simple yet elegant box. The duos are a one piece tube that has both products. One side has a traditional matte lipstick and the other has the lipgloss tube. The lipgloss has a short doe foot applicator that evenly distributes the product over your lips. The comfort of having two products in once piece is very convenient and comfortable to carry around in your purse or bag. It does not occupy much space so it can fit almost anywhere. The rose gold tube is shiny but does not over carry the oil from your hands which is great to keep it looking like new. Lipstick cap has the Flower Beauty logo and the product name on it. Shade name can be found on the bottom on the lip gloss tube. Overall this is a simple yet versatile product that can transform any look in seconds.
From the first time I applied these I was in love. The lipstick is a soft, buttery, matte lipstick that does not dry out your lips. The formula is thick and pigmented enough to only need one coat to cover your lips. The lipgloss is absolute perfection for me. This is the unique part of this product. The gloss is the perfect formulation of thick but not sticky and glossy but not shiny. My favorite thing is that you can surely wear the gloss by itself and it looks amazing. The pearlized gloss gives it a shiny metallic sheen to the lips. Neither of these products is incredibly long lasting, but it is so comfortable on the lips that I don’t mind re-applying. I find that the sheen on the gloss lasts longer when worn by itself than when worn in combination with the lipstick.
I love these and I have been using Bronze Envy almost on the daily since I tried it. Honestly, interchange between using them alone or in combination. My favorite for a natural everyday look is wearing the pearlized gloss on its own. I think it’s very flattering almost universally and elevates any natural makeup look. The soft sheen gives your lips an angelic, hydrated glow that is bound to boost your self esteem instantly. I give these and A+ and definitely recommend you try them out!
Have you tried these duos, or any other products from Flower Beauty? Let me know in the comments what I need to try next!
