Who doesn’t love chocolate, especially if you are a woman? Well … I know a few BUT they are a clear minority.
Well as a self proclaimed chocolate lover and addict, cocoa aficionado, etc. I was absolutely intrigued by too faced chocolate bar palette collection.
Description from Toofaced.com:
“Discover a candy-coated confection of heart-shaped delights with 16 matte and shimmer shades in cool pops of color, sugary brights, and beautiful go-to neutrals—all infused with our chocolate-scented, antioxidant-rich cocoa powder formula. Chocolate Bon Bons is the third palette in our bestselling Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (and some might say the cutest!). We’ve included our signature Glamour Guide with three beauty looks to get you started, but don’t stop there—the looks are limitless.”
These are INFUSED with cocoa and that alone was enough to make want to try them out.
Well after using it and playing around with it for a while I wanted to put together a little review. I have not used every single color in the palette but I have used about half of them and I have a good set of opinions about them.
So without more rambling, let’s get into this review!
When you first open this cute pink aluminum palette, delicious chocolate aroma fills the air around you. You can immediately see some pretty nice diversity of shades and colors that range from matte to shimmery.
Two shades that really caught my eye right away are earl grey and totally fetch. Earl grey looks like a teal color (which is my fave color) and I was excited for it but it is more of a blue-ish grey than teal. Totally fetch is gorgeous and completely fuchsia.
Other colors that were really attractive are Bordeaux, Black currant and Divinity. Bordeaux is absolutely beautiful; it is a reddish matte shade that is not too intense, perfect for any occasion and skin tone. Black currant is one of the only shades that really disappointed me. I was expecting it to be “boom in your face” sparkly purple but it comes off more brown-ish and it is not too intense. Divinity on the other hand is stunning and perfect for any type of highlight.
Moving on to the neutral brown shades I was really looking forward to almond truffle, cashew chew, dark truffle, and mocha. So far I am loving all of these. They all have good pigmentation and are perfect for any type of use. Almond truffle and mocha are perfect crease/transition shades. Dark truffle is great for the outer corner to give dimension and depth to the eye. Cashew chew is great for all over shade or base shade.
Molasses chip, café au lait, and satin sheets are some of the most beautiful shimmery shades I have seen/owned. They are perfect for any type of look and the pigmentation is amazing.
Finally, some of the ones I still haven’t used: pecan praline, cotton candy, sprinkles and malted. Pecan praline is a beautiful taupe shade and it is perfect for a neutral look and especially on someone with green/hazel eyes. Cotton candy and sprinkles are shimmery pink shades that are really girly and gorgeous for fun playful looks that I have been dying to do lately but haven’t had the time. Malted is a very deep shimmery brown shade that seems perfect for the outer corner and for using for a brown Smokey eye, especially the lower lash line.

To conclude this review, I love this palette. It is built perfectly to create a numerous amount of looks for any type of woman, in any type of setting. I find the pigmentation of these shades to be pretty great and they last a very long time on my lids, even without a primer. There is very minimal fallout from some of the shimmery shades but it is not much. I am in love and definitely happy with this palette.
At the time I am eyeing the upcoming Sweet Peach Palette because it looks very promising and has a good number of shades to compliment these, and any palette. I am getting it for my birthday!
PS. I also did my first tutorial using this palette on my channel (HERE)!
