March is here! The weather has been ridiculously cold (for Puerto Rico), yet the feel of spring is rampant. Spring florals have kind of always been a trend. Despite that, I mostly found myself hating anything with flowers it. Be that as it may, over the last couple of years certain floral prints have begun to steal my heart. I never made much of it, but I never really knew why the selectivity. I now know these spring florals that appeal to me have a name!
Recently while watching Shea Whitney on Youtube she was calling this style Romantic Florals. I loved it! With this in mind, I can say this is definitely a trendy print for Spring. For one thing, it is the perfect way to give your look some pops of color.
While on a recent shopping trip to Loft, this gorgeous and feminine floral blouse caught my eye. Immediately, I knew it was a super versatile addition to my wardrobe. What I love the most is that the fabric, style, and print are classic yet trendy and allow you to diversify your wardrobe with just 1 piece. This is a top that you can wear with dress pants, jeans, or leggings. Not only can you wear this by itself or pair it with a jacket, but also a wide range of accessories. It really is the epitome of versatility!
You have a whole world of options when building an outfit with this piece. I am definitely excited to wear this to work and when going out. Mostly, I look forward to playing with the colors on this blouse and combining it with my vibrant and colorful handbags. Even though it’s a printed, colorful piece, I feel this is a wonderful to modernize any classic look.
Another on trend accessory for this year is a blazer. Few months ago I had fallen head over heels in love with this Ann Taylor blazer but I refused to pay full price. A few weeks ago it went on a crazy sale over 50% off! I did not hesitate and I grabbed it. It is such a stunning and classic piece to own. The black color is perfect and universal for a blazer yet the intricate details make it a one of a kind. It features pearl details. The buttons at the waist and wrists are pearl, and the edges have a ruffled striped pattern. Whether for work, going out in style, or elevating a casual look, this blazer is definitely a wonderful addition to my wardrobe.
Combining these two key pieces can give you endless possibilities in terms of creating outfits. Spring florals are here to stay, they have been for years. Closing this look with my BCBGeneration Valentino Rockstuds DUPES seals the deal for a vibrant spring look.
I had a lot of fun putting this look together. If you are curious about any of the items, you can shop my closet and Instagram HERE.
