I can’t believe it has already been 2.5 months i

I can’t believe it has already been 2.5 months in Alpharetta!

In 1 week I will be starting my new job. My first full fledged ObGyn job and I am very excited, and a little scared. It feels like it’s finally the culmination of years of ups and downs, all to make it to this point in time.

We just barely started exploring the vast amount of things there is to do around here and I love it. Dare I say, we are starting to become “outdoorsy” people.

As I sit here reminiscing of the past few weeks, I am happy to move one and have more structured days. Yet, I will miss having all this time to relax, explore new interests and things, and just enjoy not having structured plans every day.

Another thing I love is our balcony faces a forest area and it seriously makes me feel like we live in an enchanted forest. Just enjoying the little things.

Thank you to my amazing partner in crime @g0mayol for being with me every step of the crazy AF ride that has been moving to El Paso, residency, and then across the country again to Alpharetta. I could not have chosen anyone better to do this with.

And now, to enjoy this last week before work starts, to enjoy the labor day weekend, and to welcome all this fall and a little spooky.

It’s been almost 2 months since we left El Paso.

It’s been almost 2 months since we left El Paso. While I miss it greatly, there is so much I love about Alpharetta.

Recently I found these photos from out trip to Big Bend and Marfa and I love them!

If you’re in the southwest, especially in El Paso, I highly recommend you make a trip down there. Definitely worth the drive, and even more so once summer starts to wane and fall approaches.

Specifically in Marfa, there is a quaint little place called Para Llevar and I highly recommend it!

How to get your guest-room ready for guests? I m

How to get your guest-room ready for guests?

I may be a little extra but this gave me something to do the past 2 weeks as we prepared to receive my in-laws this weekend. So i wanted to show you a couple of the things I did to make them feel right at home, or like they’re at a nice AirBnB 😂.

1) Basket with towels and essential toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and sone hand towels.

2) Tray with snacks and water bottles available. We have a mini fridge in that room so we stocked it with some mini waters.

3) Hotel like styling of the towels and another basket with travel essentials in case they forgot anything. I also have extras under the sink and a small steamer in case the need it.

4) Closet space with hangers and extra towels and blankets.

5) Wifi password on their side table for easy access and an extra nice sense of not having to ask us if they need it late at night or something.

I will be posting a YouTube video and a full blog post breaking down what I did to get this room ready for our family and friends!

Today I turn the page as another chapter of my car

Today I turn the page as another chapter of my career and life come to an end.

Tomorrow we start the next chapter which may be one of the most exciting ones yet. Like they say, when one door closes, another opens.

The past 12 years have been so wholesome and filled with incredible memories. There have been so many great moments that I will cherish forever.

The last 4 years have been incredibly special. We basically spread our wings and flew across the country to start over in a completely new and unknown place. Little did we know El Paso would be such an integral part of our lives.

We have made some incredible lifelong friends, we have visited so many new places, and we have grown as professionals in our careers. I will miss all the amazing people that have shaped mine and Guillermo’s life here. It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later El Paso.

We did a thing! 🎊

After 4 years of arduous Obstetrics and Gynecology residency we finally can say we are full fledged ObGyns!

Through all the ups and downs, good times, bad times, scary times and beyond we became family. THE BEST family. I could not be more grateful to have such an awesome group of 2022 ObGyns!

I love you guys SO MUCH and I know we will do great things in the coming years.
