Never could’ve imagined I would enjoy and love having my own herb and vegetable garden 🪴🥕🍅🫐🫑

My gardening journey started in 2020 when like many others the quarantine made us fond new hobbies. Growing up I could not keep anything alive. Then something changed and I had a full blown raised planter bed in our balcony. That planter found a dire end with aphids, caterpillars, and 100’F + weather.

When we bought our house I started dreaming of having a raised bed garden with trellises and a greenhouse. I started to envision the possibilities inspired by @lydiamillen @josieldn @gardenaryco.

Not the dream garden just yet BUT I have never been happier. Gardening has provided me with a stress release venue and a sense of accomplishment in growing things that I can eat/use for our meals.

It’s definitely a start. I can’t believe I started most of these from seed and now my tomatoes are growing and maturing.

Part of my gardening journey so far 😍 most of my plants were started from seed back in May!

I cannot believe how fast some of these have grown and how much I have learned about gardening in such a short amount of time. My plants are my zen and I love coming out to grab herbs every day for our cooking. 🪴 🌿

So excited for my peppers 🫑 and tomatoes 🍅 hopefully soon!

Have to thank @gardenaryco and @epicgardening for teaching me all I know so far and I can’t wait to continue to explore this incredible hobby 😌

When you buy a house and automatically become a crazy plants lady 🪴 🌱 🌺

I can’t believe it has already been 2.5 months i

I can’t believe it has already been 2.5 months in Alpharetta!

In 1 week I will be starting my new job. My first full fledged ObGyn job and I am very excited, and a little scared. It feels like it’s finally the culmination of years of ups and downs, all to make it to this point in time.

We just barely started exploring the vast amount of things there is to do around here and I love it. Dare I say, we are starting to become “outdoorsy” people.

As I sit here reminiscing of the past few weeks, I am happy to move one and have more structured days. Yet, I will miss having all this time to relax, explore new interests and things, and just enjoy not having structured plans every day.

Another thing I love is our balcony faces a forest area and it seriously makes me feel like we live in an enchanted forest. Just enjoying the little things.

Thank you to my amazing partner in crime @g0mayol for being with me every step of the crazy AF ride that has been moving to El Paso, residency, and then across the country again to Alpharetta. I could not have chosen anyone better to do this with.

And now, to enjoy this last week before work starts, to enjoy the labor day weekend, and to welcome all this fall and a little spooky.

It’s been almost 2 months since we left El Paso.

It’s been almost 2 months since we left El Paso. While I miss it greatly, there is so much I love about Alpharetta.

Recently I found these photos from out trip to Big Bend and Marfa and I love them!

If you’re in the southwest, especially in El Paso, I highly recommend you make a trip down there. Definitely worth the drive, and even more so once summer starts to wane and fall approaches.

Specifically in Marfa, there is a quaint little place called Para Llevar and I highly recommend it!
