The past year has been filled with self discovery and realization. 2020 allowed us to take a step back a take a good look at our lives and determine if we are happy/love the life we are living. It was a year filled with growth and molding. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So far in 2021 I have been very focused on setting goals. And in the same way I have financial goals, I have some personal goals that mean a LOT to me. Some of those revolve around this Instagram, my blog, and my YouTube channel. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My vision is clear I just need more dedication and time. I want to be a source of inspiration and motivation for others coming into the field of medicine. To show you/them that medicine is no longer slaving your life to a broken system. There are options. Too many options in fact! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Some of the shifts I have started to see in the world of medical training are focusing on wellness, holistic approaches, and well rounded individuals. These changes will transform the world of medicine as we know it!⁣⁣

So help me reach my goals! Help others coming into this world find my page and find inspiration to be different. ⁣⁣

Numbers aren’t important to me, having a community that is supportive, encouraging, and motivating is the best I can ask for. Right now we have a diverse community of people who are just amazing and I am thankful for all of you every single day. ⁣⁣

A few days into my vacation and I have finished most of what I envisioned doing throughout the whole week! ⁣
⁣
Really got bit by the spring clean bug and decided to declutter, re-organize, and PURGE my closet. I proceeded to list ALL of the 40+ items on Poshmark, and took some of the things to a donation center! ⁣
⁣
I also managed to finish my financial tracking spreadsheets and most of the interactive dashboards! Only a few more graphs to go and it will be done... for now haha⁣
⁣
It really does feel refreshing that everything has a home and looks organized! Even folded most of the laundry (only 2 more loads to go!). The best thing is I will aim to put the money from those sales to either student loan savings or my M1 invest account! ⁣
⁣
Yesterday also signed my PFY-4 contract (hole guacamole I am almost a 4th year resident!) feels surreal to be at this point. Even more surreal to be in the early stages of the job search process. Certainly can say that I feel on track for my goals! ⁣

Q1 was very successful and I have big hopes for Q2. We will see how it goes. ⁣
⁣

Loving all of the spring vibes! ⁣

Last week we went to the Dallas Arboretum and it was lovely to see all of the sprung tulips. 🌷 ⁣
⁣
There is something about spring that is uplifting to the spirit. It’s the energy of being reborn after the winter frost and I am here for it. With so many changes happening every day in the world it is hard to keep up and know what to expect. ⁣
⁣
Over 100 million vaccines have been administered. More vaccines are getting approved. And there seems to be light at the end of this year long tunnel we have been in. So I like to think it is ok to begin planning our next steps! ⁣
⁣
This spring I encourage you to do the following:⁣
🌷 Find an outdoor space to get some sunlight and have a picnic ⁣
⁣
💐 Take some crazy pictures with your household doing something new⁣
⁣
🌷 Plant some flowers or herbs and explore gardening a little more thoroughly ⁣
⁣
💐 If you live near the beach, go for a barefoot walk in the shore⁣
⁣
🌷 Bake some goodies and enjoy them outside ⁣
⁣
💐 Get vaccinated when it is available to you so you can do your part to END this pandemic and hug your loved ones! ⁣
⁣
Vaccines are not evil, they are not dangerous, and they are not perfect. It is OK to have some hesitancy and to have doubts. If that’s the case then take a step back, find the research and digest it at your own pace. Then if you finally feel you have enough information make your appointment and GET VACCINATED 💉 !! ⁣
